Wincanton Growing Together

An inter-generational sowing and growing project, coordinated by Stokehill.

Participants:

Residents and staff at  Carrington House Care Home.

Pupils and staff at King Arthur's School, Wincanton Primary School and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary School.

Throughout the project, all three schools have access to support and guidance, pupil workshops and teacher CPD from  Leaf Education.

A bespoke Green Space at Stokehill course at Carrington House enables residents to explore the same themes as the schools.

During joint sessions, pupils and residents work together on shared activities around the themes of edible, sensory and wildlife gardens.

Timeline:

Sowing and growing workshops are taking place from March 2019 - June 2019. The gallery below will be updated as the project develops.  You can find out more about the project by reading this article, which was written for the May edition of Wincanton Word magazine.

The results of everyone's hard work will be on show at the Carrington House Open Garden, June 23rd, in aid of St Margaret's Hospice.

Participants can access an image-free version of the resource sheets here.
